V(^^)V ~ youkoso minnasan!

Usherin' in the fourth installment of my genki sanctuary in a click of a button. Although this is a personal blog, I just can't help but come up with another Tackey-inspired one coz no matter how much I lack sleep, gain eyebags, lose sanity, die of dehydration because of excessive droolage, me thinks Tackey still remains my endless story. Leave me instant messages at my shoutbox anytime or email me and I will ganbaru on the reply. Welcome to my world...

ola!

All the way from the land of football, coffee and the Amazon forest, these models are living the nomadic life that part of me has always been dreaming of. The adventures of stepping foot a foreign land, meeting new people and getting soaked in different cultures are just some of the perks they get to enjoy but of course, it's not all easy.

Anyways, Gui + Fabian + Julio are the Brazilian models I have recently worked with. The shoots I've had with them were fun for one reason or another (that could mean 'Bananas From Brazil', 'ca****llo~' or the shorts hahahaha~). With the Brazilians flyin-in for modelling jobs, I'm sure I'm about to meet more. Please help me keep my envy at bay!

the big 5

A day late I know. Forgive me, my beloved boys! I really have a good reason to miss the celebration yesterday. With your 3 Best of Album versions coming out soon, I really have to break my back and work my ass to buy 'em all. And with CDJapan's pocket-burning shipping cost, I might as well submit myself to corporate slavery these following days. Please know that I am willing to go through it all just for you~

Hoping to be forgiven . . .

going emo

The past mornings, since my mom left, I have been waking up in lethargy. It was like Im just trying to finish what I've been tasked to do for the day and go home and sleep. My mom's in the US for a vacation with my aunts (she actually beat me to Tokyo!), my sister went to Palawan with her friends and I was left at home with my dad and my brother.

Last night, I arrived at home past 12mn but instead of going to my room and sleep, I cooked. I cooked pork adobo and sinigang na hipon. I can't believe that I was chopping garlic and onions at 3am! Worse, I was almost too tempted to touch my dad's liquor collection. I was eye-ing the brandy. Can I be any more emo?!?! *lol* Kulang na lang yung umuulan sa labas at nakatingin ako sa kawalan ^^ It dawned on me that I really, really, really need a vacation. Jen has plans to go out of the country by her birthday month and I hope it pushes through. I badly need a change of scenery with my friends.

Anyways, TxT Avex's site is counting down to Tackey & Tsubasa's 5th anniversary. Is there gonna be an event? I suppose so but they are keeping mum about it. Aside from the BEST OF ALBUM, could it be a bangumi finally?! I sure hope so. Other than that, there is the 2007 Asia Song Festival in Seoul for this month which TxT was said to attend. But it brings me to this lil piece of info that Maan brought up to me recently ---> TxT's names weren't mentioned on the poster and by my own quick research, in ANY PRESS MATERIALS of the event?! I just thought, how could that be?! If Boa, Koda Kumi, Ayumi Hamasaki and Arashi (???) are in there, it would be rude not to mention Tackey & Tsubasa unless there had been some changes and TxT are not really going. This smells fishy...

Well, back to emo mode~ *Dashboard Confessional's 'ANYONE, ANYONE' plays at the background*

the lil red-haired girl

I just thought it was time for a cool and drastic change. I call it the kokeshi doll-in-dark(?)-mahogany look XDDD Thanks to Jen and her recent fondness for haircolor change. Thanks to the salon's staff and their nonstop prodding while I sit waiting to get a shampoo. That's additional 5-10 mins to my prep time daily alloted for blowdrying *lol* Now, how do I deal when the roots start growing?! Shirinai haha~

moemoe~

Just for weekend laughs, here's looking at our so adored boys at the other end of the spectrum in some parallel universe *lmao*------> TACKEY & TSUBASA AS OTAKUs (pseudo fanboys). I love ponytailed Tackey otaku with the beltbag on the far right with the cheesy smile and all-the-more cheesy hand wave. His expression was so freakin' hilarious deshou?! And look at the inset photo of TxT and their smiles of bliss in sleep. That was me when I got my first TxT Calendar last year *lmaoooo*

Thanks Clara for saving me from another heartbreak of a long search (^3^) And of course, thank you x2 for this --->
Thanks to you, I feel more feverish *evil eye* (^,^)V Well, you made me drool out phlegm hahahahaha~

in the land of milkfishes

Last weekend was a long one. We found ourselves Dagupan-bound at 7am on a Saturday morning! My bro-in-law decided that it would be the best time for Gio to meet with his relatives from there as my sister was allowed to take her leave from the hospital. His relatives in Dagupan has not seen my very cute and adorable nephew yet so I braced myself with all the gushings and baby talks ^^ After 6 hours and 3-5 stops, we arrived at very wet Dagupan but decided to attend the anticipated mass at The Lady of Manaoag first. We bumped into some national politicians there as my sister's father-in-law started chatting with them while we lighted candles and say our little prayers. We were told that we'll have dinner at my bro-in-law's uncle's resthouse which was just built this year. Turns out that the politicians we met at the Church were also going the same place. My bro-in-law's uncle happened to hold one of the town's highest political positions and his sons are into politics as well. 'Til that time, I was clueless *lol* So Saturday night, we were technically having dinner with Joe De V, his wife Gina, Baby Arenas, Teddy Boy Locsin and some other local politicians. The resthouse was nestled in the middle of a bangus fishpen where they culture milkfishes so you bet that most of the dishes served were seafoods including bangus dish varieties which Dagupan is known for. After getting satiated, we said our thank yous and headed to our hotel. It was a clear case of 'eat and run' *lmao* It was a long, tiring day so it was understandable. Sleep came to me real quick.

The next day we went to Hundred Islands. We rode the banca and the manong gave us the tour around the islands. We stopped by Governor's Island where the famous 'Big Brother' island house was standing. Dito nabuo ang Kim-Gerald tandem....sa gitna ng isla hahaha~ We took some souvenir photos and then went back to the banca so we could go Quezon Island where we can finally have our late lunch. We had lunch and my overly-excited otousan did not waste time bringing Gio to his first dip at the beach. I was actually watching them from the top of an open air hut and Gio had his feet wet first. The next thing I saw, he was already trying to reach down to the clear waters with both hands and then he started making little splashes. He was enjoying it so much that after they brought him out of the water about 15 minutes later, he was still trying to bend down and make those splash moves he did at the beach. And he was hitting falsettos when he was squealing while looking at the beach from afar. He's such a ball of ubercuteness delight~ Truly ^^

In the evening, we had dinner with my sister's aunt-in-law who's a doctor as well. I learned that she was one of the pedia doctors who pioneered in the town so Gio's pedia doctor who also came from the same town knows her well. Aside from being good with children, she has her way in the kitchen too. For 2nd night dinner, we were treated to sinigang na bangus belly, bangus sisig, a platter of a giant pla-pla garnished with onion leaves, prawns and adobo frogs. Yes people, over here we eat frogs! Well, THEY eat frogs but since it's a delicacy in Dagupan and I happen to sit right infront of the one who meticulously cooked it, I made the decency to atleast give it a try. After all, they have been boasting about it on our first night, I just had the chance to dodge it then coz it wasn't served on our table. Actually, it wasn't the first time I ate frogs. I remember my mom preparing a sinampalukang palaka when I was in primary school. My dad told me it's teeny-weeny chicken so I ate without complaints but now, Im too old to be fooled. HA! But yes, I did eat some bits that night and if you are not the fussy kind of eater, you would really think it chicken coz it tasted like chicken albeit the little bones you'd have to spit out. Well, one thing I can say, it wasn't bad at all. It's actually good plus the fact that it was a doctor who prepared it for us, way better but sometimes I could really be a fussy eater V(^-^)V

We hit the sack as soon as we finished dinner coz we're leaving at 6am the next day. I was up at 5am coz it takes me atleast an hour to prepare *teehee* Our driver was with slight fever so my dad has to take the wheel from a gas station in Tarlac to the North Expressway. Going back took us less time on the road and more stops in gas stations ahehehe~ I was so drained when we reached the house. Slept 18 hours straight right after!

. . .

Five days after our Dagupan trip, Im still nursing a week-old fever, a stubborn flu and a shitty dry cough. My mom has been coughing since, my sister's feverish as well and my dear nephew is not feeling genki (poor thing!). I don't know what happened but atleast I got rid of those nasty chills that got me bad 3 nights ago.

pit-pat-pit-pat

Flashfloods did strike Manila and not merely because of SAMURAI season (on my part) but because of Dodong and Egay season. It's time I take out my SUPER UMBRELLA. A plaid umbrella in a size close to a beach umbrella which I take with me anywhere there is a heavy, pouring rain. I just dun want to get wet under the rain specially if it's icky wet. I call this umbrella my bestest buddy for the rainy season but Memsh calls it a "waiting shed" hahaha I think 5 of me can squeeze in right under it *lol* Cleo told me I could use it to pick up really cute guys who are stranded coz she says she used to do that with her crush. Unless the guy is as cute as Tackey or any of those in my uragiri list, naaaah~

The big SOUP fan that I am, I am already missing 'The Soup Kitchen' at SM Megamall. I love sipping hot soup, creamy or clear, specially in this kind of weather. I dun mind getting my tongue (partly) burned as long as I feel the warmth of hot soup in my tummy. It was one of my comfort foods but too bad they just closed down their most accessible branch. Sayang...

Now, the family is stocking up on Downey. Having little sunshine these days with all this rain, we are just trying to avoid that weird, musty smell off our freshly laundered clothes. It may be gloomy but at the least, our clothes should smell nice. Now the mere mention of Downey, I am reminded of Tsubasa (^,^)

Currently stranded at the office as I type coz we're trying to avoid the traffic. One thing I hate about the rain is that it always come hand in hand with traffic in our very own third-world country. Just the other day, people were stranded in the streets almost occupying half the highway waiting for their ride. No PUJs, no buses, not even cabs available coz all of them were already filled with people standing. So people, stay at home when you have got no business outside and it's raining this hard. Save yourself from chasing cars!

Funny that it is pouring cats and dogs here but in Tackeyland which is just in the same continent as the Philippines, it is like this --->

I think the water level in that wave pool is originally knee-high until all those people started jumpin' in hahaha~ SNUFFLES-chan, you there?! V(^.^)V

And now to a different rain but still Rain nonetheless → Alona may have discovered Bi/Rain late because Shine and I infected her with 'Full House' and 'Sang Doo' but her Bi virus strain has spread into an alarming one as she is now singing along out loud to Rain's songs on her iTunes. The catch is she doesn't really know the lyrics but she just murmurs, hums and mouths words according to what she heard. It's rather amusing to hear her as it brings back memories of my own singing-Korean-songs-out-loud-without-knowing-what-Im-actually-saying days. So what am I to do but feed her more of my Bi clips and pull her in the Bi addiction like a super hoover machine hehehe~

Because of this weather, my weekdays seem longer and my weekends, shorter. Maybe because I sleep longer on weekends. Just last weekend, I woke at 3pm thinking it was just 11am *tsk* Such sloth! teehee~

"Splash," said a raindrop
As it fell upon my hat;
"Splash," said another
As it trickled down my back.
"You are very rude," I said
As I looked up to the sky;
Then another raindrop splashed
Right into my eye!

~yakusoku~

YAKUSOKU --- Same song, different versions. One is more upbeat. The other, more emo. But again, each says something about our dear Tackey and Tsubasa.

Tackey’s ‘YAKUSOKU ~Flowers Song~’ has two versions of him gracing our screens as he walks against drafts of different sceneries, mostly of the cityscapes. The upbeat version of this song matches his strides as he sings toward the camera with occasional digital rose/sakura petals appearing on the screen. Shots of him shifting from close-ups to body shots and back. So what does it say about Tackey?! Like how Tsuba did his photobooklet for Calendar of 2007-2008, you can expect that Tackey will always be generous to show his different sides on it which Tackey fans are very much familiar with. For this PV, he opted to show his casual self as opposed to his glitzy kakkoii self. Both of which are walking the same roads which maybe visually suggesting that TACKEY IS TACKEY whatever side it is we see.

Tsuba’s ‘YAKUSOKU ~World Wing~’ PV has Tsubasa, in black and white, walking away from a truck parked on the side of the road in the middle of nowhere (well technically it’s somewhere outside the city XD). Wearing a black tank plus his signature pained expression sometimes singing along the song or sometimes not gives it an air of poignancy. His PV is so fluid that the camera only followed him through probably less than 100m walk straight. The PV only validates that Tsubasa is really a no-fuss type of a person. He goes by what you see is what you get. But his simplicity is always accompanied by great style. What coincidence that Tsuba being a big fan of U2, this PV reminds me a little of U2’s ‘The Sweetest Thing’ which I love.

Though this two PVs don’t really connect as what they did to ‘Ki.Se.Ki’ and ‘Get Down’ during Hatachi days, there is still some things which are common on both. Aside from the kakkoii factor, TxT seem to like walking a lot *LMAO*. But we know who got really tired from all the walking (^,^) →

PS: One thing I love about Samurai JACKET A among others is this little something on the menu page. Clicking on Tackey and Tsubasa's faces reveal each of them doing a swift and suave samurai move →

How cool is that?! It was just about 3 sec short but I kept clicking on Tackey - Tsubasa - Tackey - Tsubasa - Tsubasa - Tackey - Tsubasa - Tackey ^^ and hear the *SWOOOOOSH*
